VASPER VC3
TRAIN. RECOVER. REPEAT.
VASPER combines targeted compression, active cooling, and guided interval training into one low-impact session designed to support strength, endurance, recovery, and physical capacity.
BEST FOR
Conditioning · Strength · Endurance · Recovery · Performance
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
- Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely.
- Hydrate before your session.
- Sit comfortably in the recumbent system and adjust your position as directed.
- An Apparati team member will fit the chilled compression cuffs to your arms and legs before you begin.
- Make sure each cuff feels secure and comfortable before starting.
PLEASE NOTE: VASPER uses blood-flow-restriction-style compression during exercise. If you are pregnant, have a history of blood clots, significant circulation or vascular concerns, uncontrolled high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, or another condition that may affect your response to compression or exercise, check with your healthcare provider and an Apparati team member before use.
HOW TO USE THE VASPER VC3
1. GET COMFORTABLE
Settle into the recumbent system and position your feet and hands comfortably for the pedaling and pulling motion.
An Apparati team member can help make any adjustments before your session begins.
2. GET FITTED WITH THE CUFFS
An Apparati team member will position the chilled compression cuffs on your upper arms and thighs.
Proper placement matters, so allow the team to make sure the cuffs are positioned and secured correctly before beginning. VASPER specifically notes that incorrect cuff placement can affect the safety and effectiveness of the session.
3. BEGIN THE PROTOCOL
Follow the guided session on the screen.
The workout alternates between periods of comfortable effort and short intervals of increased effort while the compression and cooling remain active.
4. PEDAL + PULL
Use your arms and legs together in a smooth, controlled rhythm.
Follow the pace and effort cues rather than trying to make the entire workout as hard as possible.
5. FOLLOW THE INTERVALS
Increase your effort when prompted, then use the recovery periods to settle back into an easier rhythm.
The interval structure is an intentional part of the VASPER experience.
6. FINISH WITH THE COOL-DOWN
The final portion of the protocol allows the session to wind down while active cooling continues.
Keep moving comfortably until the workout is complete.
WHAT TO EXPECT
VASPER should feel very different from a traditional high-intensity workout.
You will be seated throughout the session while chilled compression cuffs apply controlled pressure to your arms and legs. At the same time, active cooling runs through the system as you pedal and pull through guided intervals.
You may feel:
- Firm pressure around your arms and thighs
- Cooling through the cuffs and contact surfaces
- Increasing muscular effort during the intervals
- A buildup of fatigue without heavy joint loading
- Relatively little sweating compared with traditional conditioning
The session should feel challenging during the working intervals without requiring maximum effort from beginning to end.
HOW IT WORKS
COMPRESSION + COOLING + INTERVALS
VASPER brings three elements together within the same 21-minute session.
TARGETED COMPRESSION
Soft cuffs apply calibrated pressure to the upper arms and thighs during movement.
The compression is designed to slow venous return while maintaining arterial flow, allowing a relatively low mechanical workload to create a stronger muscular training stimulus.
ACTIVE COOLING
Liquid cooling runs through the seat and cuffs throughout the session.
This helps manage body heat while you exercise, allowing the experience to remain more comfortable and reducing the amount of heavy sweating associated with conventional high-intensity training.
GUIDED INTERVAL TRAINING
Short cycles of effort and recovery bring the compression and cooling together into one structured workout.
Rather than maintaining one intensity for the entire session, you follow the changing effort levels on screen.
WHAT YOU MAY NOTICE
Depending on your fitness level and session settings, you may notice:
- Your muscles working harder than the movement itself seems to require
- Increasing effort during the higher-intensity intervals
- Firm but controlled pressure from the cuffs
- A cool sensation throughout the workout
- Less impact than traditional high-intensity conditioning
- Feeling worked without feeling overheated
The goal is not to leave completely exhausted. VASPER is designed around creating a meaningful training stimulus at a relatively low mechanical load.
HOW THIS FITS INTO YOUR APPARATI EXPERIENCE
VASPER gives you a low-impact way to build conditioning and physical capacity while adding less mechanical stress than many traditional high-intensity workouts.
It can fit especially well alongside strength and performance training, on days when you want conditioning without adding a high-impact workout, or as part of a broader recovery and longevity routine.
Because the experience combines both training and recovery-focused elements, VASPER can play a different role depending on what the rest of your Apparati session looks like.
Not sure when VASPER fits best into your routine? Ask an Apparati team member to help personalize how you use it.
GET MORE FROM YOUR SESSION
FOLLOW THE PROTOCOL
The easy intervals are supposed to feel easier. Resist the urge to turn the entire 21 minutes into one continuous hard effort.
LET THE CUFFS DO THEIR JOB
The compression changes how your muscles experience the workout. You do not need to compensate by dramatically increasing resistance or effort.
STAY SMOOTH
Maintain a controlled rhythm with your arms and legs rather than rushing the movement as the workout becomes harder.
DON'T CHASE EXHAUSTION
A productive VASPER session does not require you to finish depleted.
The combination of compression, cooling, and interval training is what makes the experience different from conventional cardio.
STAY COMFORTABLE
Firm cuff pressure is part of the experience, but pain, numbness, unusual tingling, dizziness, or significant discomfort are not sensations to push through.
If something does not feel right, let an Apparati team member know so we can check your positioning, cuff fit, or session settings.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
Allow the protocol to finish completely before removing the cuffs or getting out of the system.
An Apparati team member will release and remove the compression cuffs.
Take a moment to notice how your muscles and energy feel before standing and moving into the rest of your workout or your next Apparati modality.
Hydrate and continue with your day as you feel ready.
